To avoid congestion caused by some nodes overloaded in Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs), this paper proposes a new protocol called QoS-based Multipath Dynamic Source Routing protocol (QMDSR) based on Dynamic Source Routing protocol (DSR). It considers bandwidth constraints to improve the routing selecting strategy of DSR. At the same time, the route that is maximally disjoint from the main route is kept as a backup route for the source node.
