The numerical and analytical problems encountered in the implementation of the theory developed by Strong and Waldron in an interactive graphic linkage synthesis program are discussed. The resulting program, called RECSYN, is more effective than earlier programs since the interactive experimentation capability no longer is needed to eliminate defective solutions but can be turned to other uses.
